The night of completing Reiki 1, I returned home and my big boy cat, Baggy, cuddled in my lap. He had an itchy rash on his tummy, ( which he's had a long time). He immediately laid on his back, (unusual). I placed my left hand under his back, right hand gently on his tummy. I could immediately feel the energy (purring) pouring through me to him. I noticed and my husband looking on, (skeptic) that by this time Baggy's four legs were all relaxed and sprawled out and as we looked at his eyes, they looked very very heavy and then his head kept nodding further and further back. I have never seen him so very relaxed... and content. It was wonderful for both of us.
